Deadline for registration of Nomination

How to register your nomination details for your investments before the deadline

Every investor must enter their nomination details in their investment account as to who should receive their investment returns. This applies to all types of investments such as shares in dmat accounts, Mutual fund investments, etc. SEBI made this mandatory a little while ago. Even if some investors do not want to enter nomination details for some reason, they must register that they do not wish to nominate in that account. SEBI has also prescribed a procedure for both nomination or opting out of nomination

However, even today many accounts do not have complete nomination details or information that they do not want to nominate. Therefore, all investors must confirm their nomination preferences by 31 March 23 in their investment accounts. If yes, what details? If not, they are required to register the information that they do not want to nominate. All this must be done before 31-03-2023. (Extended upto 30/09/23) After this date, accounts that have not been registered will be frozen by SEBI.

Therefore, if you have not registered this information in your stock D-Mat or fund accounts so far or even if you have already registered it, you need to confirm it in two-way authentication. This two-way confirmation must be done. That is, we must register once. Then confirm the nomination by email or OTP. So please confirm your nomination details as soon as possible by following the procedures of your account company.

Only three weeks left. So, act quickly. Protect your accounts from being deactivated.
