I was born and brought up in Karaikudi, a well-known Nagarathar town. I completed my under graduation in Chemical Engineering in 1983 and Post graduation in Engineering Management from Birla Institute of Technical Sciences, Pilani in 1993. After graduation, I began my career as an Engineer for Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Limited (SPIC), Chennai and served for 20 years. Till recently I was the Senior Business Director at Sutherland Global services, a multinational ITES company for 15 years.

During my early career life, I was introduced to share market and mutual funds. There was no turning back since then. I grew to become an AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India) Registered Mutual Fund Advisor (ARMFA) for the last 20+ years. I passed the AMFI mutual fund exams scoring 90+ marks. I am passionate about serving individuals, families & business owners to help them make better financial decisions and save more towards their financial goals.

I am very passionate about educating the youth and enhancing their knowledge in this growing competitive world. I am currently involved in handling educational sessions in Advanced Excel and Advanced Database at ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) for aspiring students. I also conduct Financial Management subject classes for Cost Accountant students.

I started writing finance articles in a popular Tamil community magazine “Namadhu Chettinad”. I was greatly excited with the amount of feedback that I received. As a next step, few of my articles got published in a widely read magazine "Nanayam Vikatan". My thirst kept pushing me further. I wished to take this one notch higher through which I could reach everyone. That’s when I decided to become a blogger!
